B2B agency Gyro International has unveiled the next phase in its aggressive expansion strategy by opening new standalone offices in Dubai and Madrid.
Gyro will use the new offices to approach clients in Iberia, the Middle East and parts of Africa.
In Dubai, Fiona Knowles and Lucy Knowles will consolidate their expertise to become joint general managers, having previously held positions of group account director and global event director at Gyro International respectively. Gyro estimates a £1.8 million turnover for the new office in the first year. Nokia Siemens Networks has already appointed the office to produce a series of customer communications for the region.
In Madrid, ex-European marketing director for imation, Ana Garcia-Hierro, has been appointed as general manager of Gyro Spain, which will serve the Iberia region. Predicted turnover for the first financial year for the Madrid office has been forecast at £1 million.
Gyro is also looking to further strengthen its EMEA base by establishing a partnership with a creative and branding agency in Munich, Germany. If agreed, the undisclosed agency will share resources with Gyro International which already has an office in Hamburg. An announcement regarding this is expected imminently.

The opening of Gyro’s new offices in Dubai and Madrid follows the acquisitions of Manchester marketing agency Cicero in March of this year, Swedish agency Dowell Stubbs during the summer and most recently healthcare marketing specialists Woolley Pau; all for undisclosed sums.
