Caroline Pomfret takes over as MD at B2B agency Don’t be Shy | B2B Marketing

Don’t be Shy has promoted strategy director Caroline Pomfret to MD and established a new senior management team as part of an expansion and growth strategy.

Caroline co-founded Don’t be Shy in 2016 aged 24 alongside Julian Sowerby, who had previously started tech agency Tidalwave with Paul Cash. The 27-year-old Pomfret has grown the company to a £1 million turnover and 15-person team. She took over as MD this month, with Julian moving into the role of chairman.

The other members of the management team are Heather Swales, who moves from planning director to strategy director, head of campaigns Lisa Crowther, head of technology James Tudsbury and senior account director Emma Sivakumaran.

Caroline was named a ‘rising star’ by

B2B Marketing

 in 2014, when she achieved a record promotion from account executive to account manager in under six months at the start of her career at Stein IAS. She was

also nominated for newcomer of the year

at the 2017 B2B Marketing People Awards.

, and its clients include AccessPay, Promethean and UiPath

The agency’s grwoth plans for the next 12 months including hiring five further staff members, and broadening its services with the addition of video and digital product design.
